SATU SOININEN

My name is Satu Soininen, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Little Stars community. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching at various preschools, including many years at a preschool in Bellevue. Additionally, I had the opportunity to share my love for art as a teacher at the Finnish School of Seattle.

Before relocating to the USA in 2000, I dedicated several years to teaching at preschools and kindergartens in Finland. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Helsinki, Finland. Teaching young children is my passion, and I have long aspired to be a part of the Reggio Emilia approach, which has been a dream come true for me.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending my free time hiking and exploring the beauty of forests. Woodcarving is another hobby that brings me joy . I live in Sammamish with my husband and two children, who are currently attending college.

I am incredibly excited to start this journey with the Little Stars community and look forward to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for our little learners.
