Most memorable gig: After growing up involved in just about every style of studio dance training (including training with Brian Tanaka in Hip Hop and Step), I ended up on the EHS Dance Team during high school. I had the opportunity as an officer of the Dance Team, to help lead the team to many first place rankings, while building a supportive and encouraging environment for my fellow dancers.

My Journey to Teaching: After taking a break from dance to get married, have my two kids, and battle chronic illness and chronic pain, fate saw to it that I ended up performing at a community event where I got connected with Big Star, and the rest is history.

My Mission: As someone who has spent many years in the world of dance, earned a black belt in Shudokan Karate, and had two decades of experience in working with, and caring for kids, I have combined many skills and lessons from those experiences to develop a vision for my Jazz dance classes. I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment that combines personal growth and sharpening of dance skills and technique. In my classes we have fun, we all feel welcome and valued, and we learn to grow together in the absence of judgement.
