2026 Summer Enrichment at Little Stars Preschool
10 weeks of summer enrichment 9 AM – 1 PM daily!
We are thrilled to welcome our Little Stars families to another magical summer of learning and play! Our Summer Enrichment Program is thoughtfully designed to give children a joyful, engaging experience filled with creativity, exploration, and meaningful connections with friends and teachers.
Our 2, 3, 4, or 5-day Summer Enrichment program runs from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM Monday – Friday and offers a rich variety of themed weeks and hands-on activities. Space is limited, so we encourage families to register early to secure a spot. Below, you’ll find a full breakdown of our weekly summer themes and experiences.
This summer will be led by Teacher Claire, Teacher Anne, and Teacher Kelli, alongside our wonderful college helpers who are excited to be back at the preschool. We are also so happy to have Miss Delaney and Miss Kyla supporting throughout the summer. We truly couldn’t be more excited about this incredible team and the unforgettable summer they’ll create for your children.
Summer enrichment runs from June 15th to August 21st. Enrichment is billed monthly June 15th (prorated), July 1st, and August 1st. Tuition is $595/month for 2 days/week, $675/month for 3 days/week, $825/month for 4 days/week, and $995/month for 5 days/week.
Week 1: All About Me & My Friends
Building confidence, routines, and meaningful friendships
We kick off summer by helping children feel safe, seen, and connected in their classroom community. This foundational week focuses on building trust, establishing routines, and fostering friendships through joyful, play-based experiences. Children are encouraged to express themselves, practice kindness, and celebrate what makes each of them unique.
Highlights include: self-portrait art, emotion and kindness games, friendship bracelet making, family collages, cooperative play, and joyful community songs and circle games.
Week 2: Nature Explorers
Curiosity meets the great outdoors
Children become little scientists as they explore the natural world around them. This week nurtures curiosity, observation, and a love for nature through hands-on discovery and sensory exploration. Through outdoor adventures and creative projects, children learn to notice details, ask questions, and connect with the environment.
Highlights include: nature walks and scavenger hunts, bug investigations, leaf rubbings, rock painting, planting seeds, gardening, and weather-inspired art.
Week 3: Things That Go
Movement, motion, and imagination
This high-energy week is all about transportation and how things move! Children explore vehicles, motion, and speed through building, art, music, and imaginative play. From rolling and racing to pretending and creating, this week supports gross motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving.
Highlights include: car ramps and race tracks, box-built vehicles, wheel painting, movement games, imaginative road play, and traffic sign exploration.
Week 4: Animals & Habitats
Exploring animals big and small
Children dive into the animal kingdom as they learn about animals and the habitats they call home. Through storytelling, movement, art, and dramatic play, children explore farm, jungle, ocean, and forest environments while building empathy and understanding of the natural world.
Highlights include: animal and habitat exploration, habitat building, animal masks and puppets, movement games, songs, and animal-themed storytime.
Week 5: Water, Sand & Sensory Play
A true summer favorite
Sensory-rich experiences take center stage during this playful and refreshing week. Children pour, scoop, dig, splash, and explore textures in ways that support fine motor skills, creativity, and joyful exploration. Sensory play encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and regulation—all while having tons of summer fun.
Highlights include: water tables, bubble play and bubble art, ice-melting experiments, sand building, and multi-sensory exploration stations.
Week 6: Art & Creativity
Process over product
This week celebrates creativity, experimentation, and self-expression. Children are encouraged to explore materials freely, make choices, and enjoy the creative process without pressure or expectations. The focus is on discovery, confidence, and joy—not the final product.
Highlights include: painting, clay, collage, color mixing, large-scale collaborative art, music-inspired painting, and child-led art stations.
Week 7: Building & Engineering
Thinking, building, and problem-solving together
Children step into the role of builders and engineers as they design, construct, test, and problem-solve together. This week promotes teamwork, persistence, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on challenges and collaborative projects.
Highlights include: tower and bridge building, recycled material construction, trial-and-error challenges, cooperative city building, and builder-themed books and discussions.
Week 8: Disney Music Magic
A magical, music-filled week!
Each day is inspired by a beloved Disney movie or musical, bringing stories to life through music, movement, art, and imaginative play. Children explore emotions, friendships, and creativity while dancing, singing, and creating in a magical Disney-themed environment.
Daily fun includes:
- Frozen: Ice play, snow art, and friendship activities
- The Little Mermaid: Ocean-inspired art, water play, and movement
- The Lion King: Animal movement, rhythm, and jungle art
- Encanto: Colorful art, music, emotions, and family themes
- Mickey & Friends: Games, songs, and classic Disney fun
Week 9: Dinosaur Discovery
Stomp, explore, and dig into the prehistoric world
This roar-some week takes children back in time to explore dinosaurs through hands-on discovery, movement, and imaginative play. Children learn about prehistoric creatures while digging, creating, and moving like dinosaurs themselves.
Highlights include: dinosaur digs and fossil hunts, sensory “mud” and bone bins, dinosaur art and footprint painting, dramatic play, movement games (stomp, roar, stretch!), and dinosaur stories and songs.
Week 10: Our Community
Learning about the world around us
Children explore their place in the community and learn about everyday helpers, spaces, and routines that make our world work. Through books, discussions, and pretend play, children build awareness, confidence, and a sense of belonging within their community.
Highlights include: learning about community helpers, pretend play (school, grocery store, restaurant, post office), neighborhood mapping, family sharing, and community-themed circle time.
Extended Day Option (1:00–4:00 PM)
We know some families need full-day care throughout the summer, and we want to do our best to support that need. Because we were unable to fill afternoon care last summer, we are first opening an Extended Day Interest List for families who would like care from 1:00–4:00 PM.
If we receive enough consistent interest, we will absolutely add this option for the summer. No charges will be applied unless the program moves forward, and families will be notified before any billing takes place.
To qualify for Extended Day, children must be enrolled in Summer Enrichment from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. If your family needs extended care, please sign up for the Interest List and select the specific days you would need coverage.
We have significantly discounted afternoon rates to support families who may need full-day care all summer.
Extended Day Pricing (1:00–4:00 PM):
$375/month for 2 days/week, $495/month for 3 days/week, $595/month for 4 days/week, $665/month for 5 days/week.
